We had an exciting, but big undertaking to tackle this summer - moving into the new barn on our campus. Thanks to many of you, we were able to build and move all of the furniture into the barn within our desired timeframe! We are well aware that we could not have done it as efficiently without all of our volunteers’ help. Our residents now get to enjoy the peaceful barn because of your hard work.
Read MoreWe are so appreciative of the many churches, clubs and organizations that have rallied around The WellHouse to help with facilities projects on our campus. This Spring we had seven different groups join us, adding up to nearly 100 volunteers. They tackled tasks such as staining, updating signage, picking up trash, attic organizing, pressure washing, deep cleaning and clothes sorting. We are so grateful for the many hands that made light work!

Read MoreOn a typical day you’ll see men volunteering in any number of ways. They tend to the landscape, mow, mulch, and weed-eat through the summer. They paint and repair what we have chipped and broken. They assemble, move, and reassemble a lot of our furniture.

Read MoreCindy began working with the transport team, helping drive ladies to various medical and dental appointments. She was surprised at how the conversation flowed. “We would chat all the way to and from the appointments,” said Cindy. “I didn’t ask questions about their trauma. It was more like a friendly, casual conversation. I was surprised by how quickly the girls made their way into my heart, though. Before long, I knew with certainty that The WellHouse was a place God wanted me to serve.”
