Rescue Update: Spring 2024
Hi everyone! My name is Amanda Boczar and I am happy to be back at The WellHouse as Intake Coordinator. It is a beautiful thing to witness women coming into safety and finding refuge here.
The beginning of 2024 has brought us some incredible women and children who are now on their journey to healing. Each new resident we have welcomed has their own story, traumas, and needs. We are so grateful that we are able to meet those specific needs.
In the past few months, we have had intakes for 9 women. They are from Utah, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida. Their stories range from childhood sexual abuse to addiction, and grooming. For most of them, their trafficking started with a history of abuse and a lack of real, healthy love leading them to be vulnerable to a traffickers' offers of perceived love.
It is not lost on us that the women we have had the honor of intaking into our program are a small percentage of those being trafficked in our state and country. The grace of God is on these survivor’s lives. We are immensely grateful for our wonderful intake team consisting of our Stabilization Coordinators, therapists, and case managers. Please continue with us in prayer for these survivor’s comfort, healing, and salvation!
