Rescue Update - Winter 2020
October, November, and December were busy months at the WellHouse! We coordinated 26 intakes and placements from across the country, of both women and children. Of those, 5 came to the WellHouse to start our long-term recovery program. Residents came to our facility from as far south as Florida and as far north as Illinois.
In one of these cases, a police department in Alabama contacted us for help. Their local hospital Emergency Room called to the department regarding a woman who said that she had been trafficked.
After speaking with the hospital and the department, we determined that she was not from this area and was randomly dropped off at the hospital. She was hundreds of miles from where she was trafficked, which was her home town. Her trafficking story was real, and she had the physical scars of abuse imposed by her trafficker.
Please pray for all of our newly rescued victims as they begin the healing process and learn what love is, at The WellHouse.
