Rescue Update: Winter 2024
We are humbled to share that during September, October, and November six survivors joined us at The WellHouse. These six women come from either Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia or Florida. They were referred to us by trusted partners, such as LifeHouse and Out of Darkness. Our continued partnerships with law enforcement have proven invaluable by also yielding two of the referrals. Childhood sexual abuse and drug addiction were prominent factors in each of these survivors' stories.
The arrival of these six new residents is a reminder of the body of Christ at work. Your prayers, generosity, and acts of service enable us to answer God’s call to care for the vulnerable. Together, we are not only meeting immediate needs but also showing survivors the transformative love of Jesus. We believe every individual is created in His image, deserving of dignity, safety, and the opportunity to live a life filled with hope and purpose. These new residents are beginning a transformative journey of healing, surrounded by the love of Christ and a community of faith.
Join us in prayer as our waitlist has grown and is continuing to grow. We are eagerly anticipating the opening of our Stabilization Center after its newest expansion that will include four survivor beds. This space is designed to welcome even more survivors into a Christ-centered environment where they can find safety, healing, and support.
Micah 6:8 - "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
