Rescue Update: Summer 2024
Over the past few months we have accepted ten new residents (women and children) into our Restoration Programs. They are from Washington, Utah, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, Ohio, Texas, and Florida.
Each survivor that comes through our gates has a different experience, and we’ve been immeasurably blessed to develop our programming to cater to each and every need that arises.
Even though each story is unique, the trafficking techniques used by their abusers share several similarities. Out of the ten survivors, several of their experiences started at home with their parents, boyfriends, or spouses. More often than not, drug usage and physical abuse are also weaponized against them so that they are more susceptible to exploitation. These traffickers will go to any length to take advantage of the vulnerable and use them for their profit.
It is not lost on us that the women we have had the honor of intaking into our program are a small percentage of those being trafficked in our state and country. The grace of God is on these survivor’s lives. We are immensely grateful for our wonderful intake team consisting of our Stabilization Coordinators, therapists, and case managers. Please continue with us in prayer for these survivor’s comfort, healing, and salvation!
