I am personally in long term recovery from both substance abuse & mental illness, and I was afforded the opportunity to acquire a Certification from the State of Alabama Department of Mental Health as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist. For the past five years, I was employed at a large capacity (203 bed), medical In-patient behavioral health and addiction treatment facility here in Alabama. I am looking forward to utilizing the knowledge and skills that I acquired there in my new role at The WellHouse.
Please share your favorite memory from your time working at The WellHouse.
My favorite experience here was coming onto the property, which words can't describe the beauty of this place! It’s such a peaceful and healing setting, including a pond that mirrors a special place dear to my heart growing up in rural Ohio. After meeting the staff, it was affirmed that I'm exactly where God wants me to be. I'm truly thankful and blessed.
