What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?

I serve as the Alumni Care Coordinator and began this position in 2024.

What is your favorite part about your job?

Hearing the testimonies of our alumni who have seen breakthroughs in their lives since their graduation and then being able to celebrate their accomplishments within our community. Nothing compares with testimony of how God has brought freedom and success into once shattered lives.

Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.

As a graduate of The WellHouse myself, I have lived experience that equips me to serve our ladies with empathy, wisdom and love from a personal perspective. This makes for an intimate approach with each individual alumni.

Please share your favorite memory from your time working at The WellHouse.

In my role, I am able to connect with and support our residents after their time at The WellHouse. I received an amazing update from a graduate that once was very doubtful she would ever be independent, healed from her trauma or have a life of purpose. She joyfully relayed to me all God had done in her life since graduation, setting her free from self harm, addiction and depression. Once unemployed and on disability, she is now working and reunited with her once estranged family as well. Her prayers, goals, and aspirations had come to pass! My heart soared with gratitude and awe towards God as I congratulated her on her hard work and continued perseverance. This is what it’s all about!

Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.

After living a life of prostitution for thirteen years, caught in a cycle of jails, institutions, and addiction, the Lord led me to The WellHouse. The doors of healing swung wide open as I dove head first into the WellHouse way. God’s love flooded me on this campus, bringing hope that I could indeed rebuild my life with the support and guidance of staff and the word of God. I opened an LLC of my own traveling to share my testimony of how God set me free and taught me who I am in Him. The more I testified the more I desired for other women to experience the same freedoms and receive the support I have here at The WellHouse. This led me to ponder how many women do not know this truth, “We are bought already with a price by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and so we are NOT FOR SALE.” The deepest desire to spread the truth and freedom found in Jesus brought a burden upon my heart that cannot be put into words. A burden for the lost who do not know Christ but also a deep love and burden for our ladies here on The WellHouse campus and those who have left. So when the opportunity arose for me to reach out to our graduates and past residents, I saw an opportunity to come alongside them in the same way I had been cared for as a resident. The opportunity to serve in this capacity was such a gift from The WellHouse. They believed in me and so I too want to show our alumni that I believe in them. We thrive together! And so here I am.. coordinating a community of graduates that are overcoming odds, breaking molds and achieving great heights in their new lives.
