What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?

I am a therapy dog for WellHouse women, and I came on staff in 2022. 

What is your favorite part about your job?

One of my favorite parts of my job is all the people I get to hang out with daily! I love when I walk into a room and hear the women or girls yell “Goldie!!” It makes me feel really excited and happy to be here. I also have A LOT of people tell me how cute I am, so that is a plus! 

Tell us about your educational and professional experience that equips you to be successful in this field.

I have gone through some training. I know how to sit, shake, come, and I know that the kitchen is off limits for me! 

How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?

Working at The WellHouse has been the best! I have met so many amazing people during my time here and I love when we welcome a new woman or girl to our program because it’s just one more person for me to love on! I have learned how to better read people’s emotions and it makes me feel good to be a source of comfort to our women and children.
