What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?

I am a Behavioral Support Specialist for WellHouse Child, and I came on board in May 2023.

What is your favorite part about your job?

The best part of my job is getting to pour into young lives in an environment designed for them to heal at their own pace, and getting to cheer them on along the way.

Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.

Psalm 66:16 says, "Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me." I know for certain that the Lord placed this calling on my life when I was a young girl. As a teenager I started running from the Lord, and my journey is full of valleys, pitfalls and snares. One of my favorite quotes comes from Holocaust survivor, Corrie Ten Boom: "But there is no pit that God's love is not deeper still!" All of my brokenness lead me right back to His feet.

Once I fully surrendered my life to His purpose for me, the doors began to open, and a few years later I came on as staff at The WellHouse. The lessons that I've learned along my journey have helped me tremendously when it comes to supporting these incredible survivors on our campus. With God, none of our suffering is wasted. There is so much evil in this fallen world, but working on the frontlines of the anti-trafficking field allows me to witness the strength and bravery of others who are also determined to overcome even the darkest of circumstances. Love God, love people.

How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?

Working at WellHouse Child has been such a rewarding experience. I’ve been challenged to show up as a better version of myself every single day. Not a day goes by that I’m not completely moved by the restoration I see happening in the lives of the girls. We serve such a faithful God who gives each of us opportunities to grow and learn together. He has a hope and a plan for their future and getting to be a vessel of His love is by far the best part of the job.
