What is your job title and what year did you come on staff at The WellHouse?
I came on staff in 2023, and I serve as a Behavioral Support Specialist for WellHouse Child.
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part about my job is honestly just the day-to-day connections that I get to make with the girls going through the program.
What’s your favorite memory from working at The WellHouse?
The girls recently participated in a serve activity for a church, and I loved getting to see how much they cared and how much fun they were having. It was a simple outing, but the day sticks out in my mind because of the contagious smiles on their faces. These girls have been through so much and being able to witness their joy while serving others made the day even better for me.
Tell us about your journey coming into the anti-trafficking field and with The WellHouse.
I am new to the anti-trafficking field professionally, but I’ve had years of work in experience doing outreach with survivors. I’ve always had such a passion for this, so needless to say, I was over the moon excited when I found out that The WellHouse was hiring. It has been nothing but a joy to get to come in every single day and work with these girls.
How has working at The WellHouse impacted your life?
The WellHouse has given me such a different outlook on life by being around these girls. They have experienced such horrible things, and yet they wake up every morning radiating positivity and hope. I am so inspired by watching them constantly fight to be better and accomplish goals that they once thought would never happen.
